240 SERIES: This diamond knurled
insert was designed to replace molded-in
inserts and threads in plastic castings.
Installed "cold", press inserts
sharply reduce the cost of moldings.
The number of "shots" per hour is
multiplied; reject waste caused
by misaligned and faulty inserts
is cut and no re-tapping to clean
threads is necessary. In addition
to providing clean threads, press
inserts also provide screw-locking
action unattainable in molded-in
inserts. Along with this self-locking
feature, you also have an insert
that is not critical to hole depth
and does not require any secondary
operation to secure the fastener
in the hole. |

with pre-applied Loctite keep
Thin Walls from backing out or
vibrating loose. Immediately upon
installation, the micro-encapsulated
Loctite begins to set and the

fastened to within minutes.
In addition, the adhesive seals
against liquids and gases to pressures
of 6,000 psi and bonds to virtually
